Marriage licenses in Camden County are issued by Camden County Probate Court, not by the Clerk of Superior Court. The Probate Court office is in the Camden County Courthouse at 210 East 4th Street in Woodbine. Its mailing address is P.O. Box 818, Woodbine, GA 31569, and the office phone is 912-576-3785. The Probate Judge is Robert C. Sweatt, Jr. The court lists regular hours as Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Applicants may start through the Georgia Probate Records marriage application or complete the application at Probate Court. If the online application is used, Camden County requires the parties to finish the process at Probate Court within two weeks. The online form is a start, not a completed license by itself. Both parties should expect to appear, present identification, and satisfy the Georgia eligibility rules before the license is issued.

The county marriage instructions require two forms of identification. Mail requests to the Clerk require a check or money order payable to the Clerk of Superior Court and a self-addressed stamped envelope.

Divorce records in Camden County are not Probate Court records. Camden County Family Record Limits

Marriage and divorce records are family records, but they do not all have the same access rules.
